The Project

This project addresses the needs of the youth in the rural areas, as they constantly need to be more proactive in their communities, they need to be more skilled and gain new competences for better social development. Thus, the project’s objective is to help the young people in the rural area to achieve all these through activities that are meant to add value in their social and professional life. These activities are: creation of a guide on best practices for transnational cooperation for rural youth engagement; creation of an interactive methodology for organizing rural youth parliaments as tools for active engagement of young people, best practice exchange with our partners from abroad, rural youth parliament simulations; a learning, teaching training activity in order to gain new competences: digital, social, etc.

All the activities will be interactive, as they are addressed to young people in the rural areas and also to the expert involved in the project. The purpose of the project is to offer a solid background to youth in the rural area in order to be more involved in their community and to be more willing to implement projects that are addressed to the youngsters.

Purpose

The partners wish to increase the quality and relevant of their activities and projects especially the ones that address young people with fewer opportunities, as well as to create new bonding partnerships and increase their capacity to cooperate with transnational partners in order to permanently have access to new ideas, opinions, tools and digital innovations that can make them more effective in spreading their missions and organizational objectives at local level, regional level as well as international level.

The project addresses two main target groups: a. rural youth from the regions where are located the partners in the projects; b. youth workers from the partner organizations.

Objectives

  1. Strengthen and enhance the cooperation and networking among 3 European non-governmental organizations active in the field of youth work and creation of the basis for consistent dialogue among them and exchange of good practices in the field of youth.
  2. Develop and implement innovative practices, methods and instruments in the field of youth that lead to active civic involvement in the community of young people from disadvantaged and rural communities;
  3. Set-up a functioning method to simulate rural youth parliaments as a method for active involvement of young people in their local communities in 3 different European regions where the partners activate.
  4. Create an online Guide of practical tools for active involvement of young people in the community life using.
  5. Identify, recruit and prepare minimum 3 youth workers from the participants to the Rural Youth Parliaments in each local community.
